President Biden is either lying or he has no idea what he’s talking about —and neither would be a surprise.
In this clip, Biden praises life-saving monoclonal antibody treatments saying:
“Take monoclonal antibodies, for example. They’ve helped save lives. This isn’t partisan, it’s medicine. But Congress hasn’t provided enough money to keep purchasing these monoclonal antibodies.”
First off, Biden made the use of monoclonal antibodies a very public, partisan fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis when the Biden Administration revoked access to the life-saving treatments. Back in January, Team DeSantis released the following statement:
“Governor Ron DeSantis is demanding the Biden Administration reverse its sudden and reckless decision to revoke emergency use authorization (EUA) for Regeneron and Eli Lilly monoclonal antibody treatments. This abrupt and unilateral action by the Biden Administration will prevent access to lifesaving treatments for Floridians and Americans.”
Second, when it comes to the matter of Congress not providing enough money —$6 trillion dollars in COVID relief funding was pushed through Congress. But, according to Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), less than 10 cents of every dollar actually went to fighting the virus.
So Joe, I think the blame falls to you on this one. You made it partisan. You ripped through the cash.
